Education & Professional Highlights
Dr. Schillinger started his medical career at Vienna Medical University for education in internal medicine and interventional angiology and completed his studies in interventional cardiology at Vienna´s Wilhelminenhospital, a secondary care center. He authored more than 250 original publications in the field of endovascular therapy, edited and co-edited several books and educational articles and was principal investigator of numerous national and international studies. Dr. Schillinger was member of several advisory boards and member of the editorial board of numerous international peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Speciality - Interests
Currently his focus is on minimal invasive treatment of atherosclerotic disease including the arteries of the heart, the brain, the inner organs and the legs. Annually more than 600 minimal invasive procedures are done at Vienna Private Hospitals Catheter Laboratory to treat patients with coronary heart disease, stroke and limb ischemia.
